Star Promenaders

The Star Promenaders Square Dance Club was started  in 1961 and has been in continuous operation since then. We dance what is known as Modern Western Square Dancing. We do line dances in between square dance tips. We dance for fun, exercise and fellowship. Although there is competition dancing in the Western United States, there is none around this area. Square dancing has been called “Friendship Set to Music”. Square dancing is a wholesome family activity.  Completing lessons is a requirement for joining the club.

 

Our club dances Mainstream & Plus.  We have members from Jackson, Jennings, Jefferson, and Scott counties. Each year we donate around $1200-$1500 to charitable organizations in these counties.
